01 / Who we are

An export house, not a trader.

Three generations of sourcing experience. A single-minded focus on Indian hardware and decor exports to Africa. Built on relationships with foundries, not on commission.

02 / Our story

Founded in Noida — sharpened by twenty-five years of African trade.

Balaji Udhyog began in 1998 as a brassware export house operating out of a single office in Noida. The first container left for Lagos in 2001. The second, six months later, to Mombasa. By 2010 we were running mixed-category shipments out of Mundra Port to every major African coast.

Today we are a fully-integrated export company: factory partnerships in three Indian craft hubs, an Africa export team staffed in English and French, in-house QC inspectors, and direct relationships with the freight forwarders who actually keep your container moving.

What hasn't changed: every order is owned by a named export manager from the day you inquire to the day your shipment clears customs. There is no call center. There is no general inbox.

We don't sell containers. We move relationships — between Indian craftspeople and African retailers, both of whom we've known for decades.

04 / Principles

Four standards we
don't compromise on.

These aren't taglines. They're the reason our largest customer in Lagos has been with us for nineteen years and counting.

/ 01

Named accountability

Every order has one export manager — name, photo, direct WhatsApp. No tickets. No queues. No "let me check and get back to you."

/ 02

Documentation discipline

B/L, CO, packing list, commercial invoice — every document on every shipment is double-checked against your destination port's customs format before dispatch.

/ 03

Factory transparency

You can name the factory in your PO. You can visit it. You can request weekly production photos. Nothing about the supply chain is hidden.

/ 04

Price honesty

No commission structure. Our margin is a flat documented percentage on every line item. Ask and we'll send the BOM.

/ 05

Africa first

We don't take orders we can't ship. We don't promise dates the port won't keep. We don't quote rates we can't honour for 90 days.

/ 06

Long-term partnership

Our top ten customers have been with us an average of fourteen years. We optimise for the next decade, not the next quarter.

05 / Our Hubs

Sourced from three
legendary cities.

Each hub is a centuries-old craft ecosystem. We work directly with master foundries, lock houses and glass furnaces — not with traders.
