Muradabad has been a brass town since the Mughals. The British registered it as a craft district in 1862; today it produces over $1.2 billion in brass exports per year and supports roughly 250,000 artisans across foundry work, polishing, engraving and finishing.
We've worked with the same network of master foundries here since 1998. Every brass and metal art piece we ship — from a 200-piece batch of decorative pots to a 4.2-metre sculpture for a Johannesburg hotel — comes out of this 30 km² craft district.
What makes Muradabad exportable at scale is its density. Inside a single neighbourhood, you have the casting foundry, the polishing unit, the engraver, the antique-finishing specialist, the packaging house — all walking distance from each other. A complete supply chain inside a postcode.
Each specialty is centuries old. Each runs alongside a complete supporting ecosystem — foundries, finishers, packagers, freight forwarders.
Hand-cast brass pots, idols, lamps, vases — produced in workshops that have run continuously for generations.
Sculpture-grade decor for hospitality and luxury retail. Wall art, freestanding sculptures, planters, large installations.
Antique, patina, mirror-polish and electroplated finishes. Master engravers with multi-generational skill.
From the foundry pour to the assembly bench. We visit every partner unit twice a year minimum — for full audit, sampling, and relationship-keeping.

Every piece moves through the same six stages — from raw material to container loading. Each stage QC-checked, each handoff documented.
Molten brass poured into hand-packed sand moulds. Cooled, cracked open, raw cast retrieved.
Gates and runners filed off. Surface cleaned of mould residue. Initial polishing.
Master engraver hand-cuts decorative patterns. The single most labour-intensive step.
Antique patina applied, or mirror polish hand-buffed. Multiple finish options.
Two-stage QC. Surface defects, weight tolerance, dimensional checks.
Export-grade tissue, foam, 5-ply cartons. Anti-rust treatment. Container-ready.
