Our oldest and most signature category. Hand-cast pots, idols, lamps, vases, candle holders and decorative items — finished by master engravers in workshops that have run continuously in Muradabad since the 17th century.
Brassware is where Balaji Udhyog started in 1998. Twenty-seven years later, every piece still comes out of the same network of Muradabad workshops we've worked with from the beginning — foundries that have been hand-casting brass since the Mughal era.
What makes the category exportable at scale: the workshops can run small batches without losing the handcraft character. A 200-piece run of decorative pots for a Lagos boutique gets the same engraver as a 12,000-piece run for a chain retailer in Johannesburg. The craft scales — most others don't.

Every African market we ship into has its own buying rhythm. Furniture refits in Lagos run on different cycles to hotel build-outs in Mombasa or chain retail launches in Johannesburg. Our export teams track these cycles so production windows line up with sell-through, not the other way around.
